Wall mount PC I made - Pics.

is the PSU fan located on the bottom of that unit? that's what it looks like in the pic. Is the mounting board solid beneath that, or did you cut out a hole to allow the fan to ventilate? Could be a simple problem, much easier resolved than replacing the PSU fan...

There is no fan on the underside of that power supply. It just has fans on either end and I think. There must be something inside of it like a 3rd internal fan or something because it definitely has most of its noise coming from the power supply. Neither of the end fans are causing the sound.

It looks good, but are you having a problem with overheating?
Cases usually increase cooling performance because the air flow is directed.

That is really cool. It would probably be a pain, but I imagine it would look even better if you cut a hole in the wall to channel some cables down, maybe install an outlet at the bottom for the cables.

Now I'm no interior designer, so I'm pulling this out of my ass, but I think the styling of "case" goes very well with the decor of your room. The glass desk and silver walls mesh well with the tech look of the case. Very modern looking. I imagine the coloring or design of the case would have to be changed before simply dropping it in to a random room (if you want it to mesh).

Also a guide would be awesome. I would enjoy reading your thought process and reasoning for doing this or that.

Very neat. I hope you don't have to suddenly swap a bunch of optical discs because that would be a major pain in the butt.

What do you do for EM protection?

That was my first thought.

Be careful. Running cable that isn't rated for it through walls opes yourself up to a lot of liability should a fire occur.

It is a fan monitor. I have temp sensors in the processor, ram, and graphics card. It monitors all those temperatures and allows me to adjust the fans. I was worried about temperatures without it being enclosed when I first built it so I figured this would give me a way to make sure it didn't get too hot.

I'm decent at building computers but I am horrible at taking pictures so in like 5 shots I took this one was the best one / =

I would guess that not being enclosed would lead to lower temps? I mean, usually all the heat from say, the CD drive is in the same box as all the other stuff and has to be removed, but with your setup it's free to drift or radiate away on its own. Maybe the airflow is lower, but the overall surface area is higher.

I learned something today. Could you buy some sort of cable shielding/pack that would make it safe? A cable enclosure of sorts?

That's pretty cool. I haven't seen someone do that before...wouldn't it be pretty loud just sitting out in the open like that once it gets cranked up?

Yeh I think it would be very cool except the noise. But maybe a corsair h50 and block for the vga card. SSD drives... and you have a fairly quiet machine.
