Wall Fastener Choice

I need to hang two TVs. Each weighs 75#.
A. One wall is concrete, about 2" thick.
B. The other is 1/2" Sheetrock with 1/2" plywood screwed to the face of it.

What are the best fasteners for each?

I assume if my stud finder works on B, I'd go into the studs.

I like wedge anchors for solid. For drywall I usually use the plastic screw in ones, drill a pilot hole first, even if it tells you not to. You want the screw thread to bite and not crush the gypsum. A good construction screw when you can hit a stud. I usually buy the spax or the gold ones with torx drive. Much better than the cheap stuff in the little bags.

I recommend using 1/4" lag bolts on the drywall...try to find the studs.... I actually wrapped my plywood in black poster board so it wasn't as visible behind the TV and it was quicker/easier than painting.

For the concrete, buy a tapcon kit...also 1/4". It'll come with a 1/4" masonry bit and you can drill where you want to sink it. Just be sure to drill far enough and try using a shopvac on the hole to remove any dust/debris. If you want, you could use treated plywood between the mount and the concrete wall too.
