Walked into Structure the other day...

has anybody else seen the ad where a girl arches her back in a crabwalk position? anybody notice how the guy is pouring water on her exposed stomach area? anybody think about where that water would go (hint: downwards)? i dunno, i was with a friend and she just started laughing.... i laughed too when she showed me the sign...

Wouldn't know, the Express/Structure stores at Somerset are closed for remodeling........looks like they're going to join the two stores back into one big ol' huge store, like it used to be. (Well, not so much huge back then.)

why is this funny?

are you 12?

I guess you had to be there.

I don't shop there anymore. I usually go to Anne Tayler's Loft. So If you want to stalk me, hang around in there at the local mall. 🙂

there was a SNL sketch with Patrick Stewart as the
owner of an erotic bakery, but he turned every cake request into a woman
going to the bathroom because it was SO ... EROTIC!

am I on the same wavelength?

What's Structure got to do with Loft? Structure is a men's (well, questionable now) clothing store, not home furnishings.

Anyhow I've stopped buying clothes from there ever since they turned into Express for Men, which in essence is a Banana Republic clone. I don't know about the rest of the country, but in LA the only people who buy those stiff, clean-edged threads are preppy gay guys. (Before anyone gets mad at me, I don't dictate where people shop. That's what gay guys wear in LA. Honest.)

Er, maybe I'm thinking about Express? At anyrate, Anne Tayler's is a women's clothing store, not home furnishings. 🙂

Wait, I remember now, I did buy something from Structure once. A pair of soft boxer that I sleep in sometimes, and a ball cap.

heh, i havent gone into structure since then 'homocized' the store about a year ago...

bah, they've ruined the store by changing the name and attempting to go toe to toe with abersnobie by raising prices. give me old navy! gap's lesser brand! wooot!

yet more of abersnobie wearing off on them. ever note how abersnobie ads are always half naked guys doing everything together? and now structure/express men is having mostly naked guys in tighty-whities plastered all over the place.

Abercrombie isnt nearly as non-hedero as structure, oooops i mean Express for Men is...

Abercrombie/American Eagle are my stores... Both with college-esk type clothing... Structure is all about the tight pink neon shirts... Yuck :Q

Stalk you?

Are you hot?
If so I might consider it....or if you have a ton of money! 🙂

Get your clothing from Costco... cheaper
Or the Salvation Army. You can get the funniest shirts from there. My collection of polo's is hilarious 🙂 (though it is still sorta small)

I used to shop at Structure quite a bit a few years ago. Stopped for a while because there weren't any nearby. But a few weeks ago I got a $15 GC in the mail, so while I was doing some other shopping I decided to stop in and use it. Whoa! They completely revamped their clothing line--for the worse IMHO. Everything was very Banana-esque--way too formal for me (definitely a t-shirt/polo and jeans kind of guy). I actually had a hard time coming up with ANYTHING in the store that I wanted. Finally found a fairly conservative thin cotton navy button-down shirt for $30 ($15 after coupon). It looks pretty nice, but geez, that place did a complete 180. The pathetic thing is that it was on a Sunday afternoon and there was NOBODY else shopping in there.

What is weird is that the many of the tags on their clothing say Express instead of Structure... I guess they're going to be phasing out the Structure name and just have Express for men. Oh well... yet another clothing store that sucks now. Gap has made bad clothing-line decisions too... what's up with that?

Like what many others have said - I stopped shopping at Structure when they turned into that Express Banana Republic type crap. I haven't used my Structure card in over 6 months. (Last thing I bought was a belt) After having bought a pair of pants at Abercrombie though, I can't ever see what I saw in Structure. (A&F's stuff is soooooooooo much more durable and fits baggier, which I like)
