so the russian play now is to try and drive a wedge between people in the dem party. They want to chop the entire country up into 6 political parties.

So if the dems lose in 2020 I should walk away and go where?

This:
"Update Party Affiliation. You can change your party affiliation using the Online Voter Registration or by any signed written notice such as a voter registration application. It must include your date of birth or voterregistration number."

I stand corrected by JST0rm, you can switch political parties online.

Socialist and Libertarian extremists have approximately zero chance of gaining significant political power, regardless of how much damage Trump and the GOP do to America.

Moderates like me don't trust you either. Somalia and Soviet Russia are not countries that I want to live in.

I was thinking that too but I decided to answer as if they were sincere.

Never mind that the whole "#walkaway" campaign is fake and has Russian backing -- the very logic of the question is messed up.

Let me get this straight: the solution to having deeply-held, evidence-based objections to virtually everything Trump does is to... support him if the Democrats don't win in 2020? What?

Politics isn't a child's game where you side with the "winners" if you lose a vote, Xeon_Addict. It's about making the country a better place for everyone, and in a democratic system, it means encouraging a plurality of political ideas that (theoretically) lead to a government that truly reflects what people want. It doesn't mean a cheerleader mentality; that's what dictators ask for. I would rather fight to the death than submit to the autocracy you want.

That was part of their play in 2016 as well. See Stein et al.

its kind of crazy that they are so into every corner of the internet they try to interact with us here. To our long term conservative members how does it make you feel that russians are actively trying to promote your candidates? Does it give you pause?

Don't be fooled by the #Walkaway campaign. All the "people" in their ads were purchased at Shutterstock.

Every single YouTube video is actually long time right wingers claiming they are "walking away." Yet years of social media history debunk that easily.

A long time ago I started asking myself a new question I hadn't thought of before. I started to ask myself why do I have questions. This led me to a place where I didn't have any questions anymore. And since I also found that the place without questions is far and away better than the place that has them, I am prompted to suggest you ask yourself why you ask. If you run into any questions about your questions I will try to help if I can. In the mean time I can suggest, not an answer but a different approach. What if the person who says fuck it and walks away has ceased to exist. What if he's busy in a hotel in Hawaii unpacking his snorkeling gear. They say that in the sea there are treasures beyond compare, but if you seek safety cling to the land, the tribe, the nation, the party, anything at hand. What if you are talking to Aquaman. I hear he's about to become a big new thing? Questions Questions
