I went to walmart today looking for a cartridge, but instead found the lexmark z23se printer for $19.

I couldnt find it online, but your wal-mart might have it.

For the price of the carts for these printers, think of them as disposable printers. The replacement ink carts cost more than a new printer.

Thanks, wife needed ink last night, I told her to get a new printer instead this weekend...
I definitely need something crappy/cheap since wife and kids go through printer ink like it's water.

if they go through ink fast get a cannon or an epson, the cartridges are super cheap. These lexmarks are cheap, but I belieive the come with "starter cartridges" e.g. half full. If you only need a printer to use once in a while they are ok, but if you go through ink fast it is one of the more expensive printers out there in the long run.

something to be aware off...
new printer cost way cheaper than the ink cartrige. :(
my cousin learned it the hard way, instead of replacing the ink, he bought a new one for 1/3 the price of an ink cart. :Q

These printers aren't worth the $20 IMO. I bought 3 and out of those only 1 is still functioning correctly.

I would recommend doing ink refills. It's easy with these cartridges.

I saw an HP model for $28 at Walmart last night. Don't remember the model #, but it was 4 numbers and began with a 3.

He's going to learn the hard way again when comes to the conclusion that most printers come with starter cartridges that are not full. :Q

I use Stratitec Premium Series. Comes with more ink than I know what to do with and was only $16 at Sam's. I still havn't finished a bottle of black and I have done 4 fills. COmes with photo and standard ink for the colors.

HP 3322. Still a cheap, crappy printer, but MUCH better than that Z23. I picked up the 3322 a couple days ago. I'll never buy another Lexmark inkjet again. My Lexmark laser is still going after 6 years, tho.

Don't buy Lexmark printers. Boycott them! They are doing everything they can to prevent ink refills and toner cartridge refills.

Then you don't own the Z23 being talked about in this thread. Lucky you! Would I be stepping out of line to guess you paid more than $7 for your printer?

Yes they do.... I recently bought a cannon and they contain all ink colors (6 to be exact) and full to the brim... :)

I got a manager at my local Walmart (Olean) to agree to pricematch another Walmart.... I told them "the one in Buffalo" which there are several (about 65 miles from here)... they called, but it was $35 in Olean and the one they called.... Does anyone have the cities of the Walmarts that are carrying these for $19 (or better yet, the HP's for cheaper?)

Speaking from experience. These do not refill reliably. Get a Canon, no patented technology in print head = cheap print carts = no hassle = happy computing.
