$50 NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 AGP 256 MB Graphics Card

$50 Radeon 9200 128 MB APG

$100 All-in-Wonder 9200 128 MB APG

Saw these cards all on clearance at 2 different Wal-Marts in the Aurora/Naperville, Illinois area (One on Galena Blvd and the other on Route 59)...Had more than a few left for those looking to build a cheap system...

I had one of these AIW 9200 in my hand at a Walmart in Baltimore on a clearance shelf tagged $125. I asked the woman clerk standing there if it was correct and she said yes.

It's YMMV because walmart does not do national clearance pricing. It's up to individual store managers / dept managers (or someone locally/regionally) to set the prices and I've always been told they don't pricematch other walmarts.

Sometimes the prices are off, you can scan and it may have been reduced further, or not.

IMO, not worth making a special trip to Walmart to find something, but, if you are going anyway it's worth keeping the item in mind.

For real gaming performance, the best bang for the buck is still online. For $60 you could get a Radeon 9550 and for $115 (using $10 off $20 Rosewill products coupon) you could get a Radeon 9800 Pro (a real gamers' card). Video card selection and pricing at almost all bricks 'n' mortar stores is a huge joke. The prices aren't even close to what can be found at, say, NewEgg.

I saw an ATI 9200 AIW in the clearance section. Went to self-service checkout and scan came up "unrecognized". The attendant came over and took it to customer service. She came back with it and stated it would be $1.25- SCORE!!!- got it for $1.25

Walmart has been doing a national electronics changeover, and thus the vast majority of stores have been doing a clearance. The bad thing is that no set items are to be clearanced, it's all the manager's choice. At the one nearest to me, many of the clearance items are funny at best. For example, one of their phones was 98.89 and is on clearance for 98.00. The only good thing I did see was a Rio Nitrus 1.5gb mp3 player for $99, which I promptly snatched up (been looking for a larger one to replace my 64mb muvo)
