Wal-mart is rolling out a program starting the end of the month and expecting it to be available everywhere by June that will allow you to buy online and then pickup in-store - much like Best Buy does. They had this already for a very limited number of items in a few stores. but now it will encompass some 40,000 items including baby items, toys, electronics, video games and appliances. Groceries not included.

I actually love walking through Wal-mart. It's the checkout process I dread. People who buy an assload of stuff infront, no express lanes, no self-checkout (maybe that's a good thing at Wal-mart), and the mother effing little kids in line.

Speaking of, I'm going today or tomorrow to get me a sewing machine. Only box store that I know of that sells them.

Figures, just bought a 360 controller online because they won't price match in the store.

Sounds good, but if I have to wait at customer service to pick it up, I'd rather shoot myself.
Always a ton of retards trying to return 2 year old Glade Plugins without a receipt (TRUE STORY!) and one person working.
I am glad they moved all the money based stuff (check cashing, MOs, etc) to a different section.

They've finally caught up with every other retailer who has a website... took long enough. It's infuriating to find something online that you want, then you try and order it for store pickup and they tell you it'll be shipped in a few days. What? Why? It's in stock at the damn store! I just want to get in and out without a fuss.

That was my one experience with Best Buy pickup. I went in an hour later to pick up my item and I had to wait while the customer service guy walked over to the shelf and picked up the item.

I could've just gone in myself to pick it up. I ordered it online thinking that there would be some kind of hold placed on the item, but I guess it doesn't work that way.

It's supposed to be set aside but either they've been busy or figured they had enough in stock to not bother to do it.

There are express lanes at mine. Got in line behind someone with almost 2 dozen yogurts just the other day :(

Wal-mart's has a fairly high number of "less fortunate" people, and they usually take super long to pay. And the cashiers are stoned out of their mind or just don't give two shits and are so slow it's not funny. Oh well, I still love that store.

I prefer Sir Frederich of Meyer myself. Walmart has good prices on some things, but doesn't have a lot of stuff I like.
