There are ?brand aspirationals? (people with low incomes who are obsessed with names like KitchenAid), ?price-sensitive affluents? (wealthier shoppers who love deals), and ?value-price shoppers? (who like low prices and cannot afford much more).

Could I be all three? BTW, price-sensitive and value-price are pretty much the same thing. Depend how you view it.

They are missing out on my group, the convience shopper. I can get all groceries and household goods that I need for the week in one - one hour trip at the super center. There is no other place around I can get everything I need in one stop.

Why is this news?

It's an article about the nation's largest retailer changing their strategy.

It's in the business section.

Quit being whiny bitches.

Kitchen aid is hardly a brand I would fawn over, essentially the quality of the lower tier appliances stocked at walmart. I do like the brand name Items I can get cheaply from manufacturers that don't just toss walmart a low end product like Mobil1 Synthetic

I am also liking the organic approach walmart is supporting, hormone free milk and such.

I think that for store brands Kroger has Walmart and others beat. I consistently see and absence of additives and preservatives in the Kroger store brands compared to most name brands.

I didnt read the whole article, was Whitetrash a group?

Mine is dominated by Negrotrash.

I use to frequent a White Castle that was always bustling with black people. Needless to say, my friends and I don't call it "White Castle" anymore
