Wake is about to kill my bracket because of WVU

Deserving to win and having the refs hand you the game are two entirely different things. One call I could deal with, but when you have three bad calls in 2OTs, as well as some bad no calls on WVU it was just a poorly officiated game, yet it got worse in the end. I'm not a ref basher - in fact I hardly EVER bash refs, but this game was sickening and was just pure blatant crap.

I think it came down to who was better. WVU played a much more superior game under duress than wake.
 
Huh? I had Wake in my bracket and I thought the refs were fine. For once they called stuff like palming/carrying. About freaking time, IMO.

Watching this game (turned it on with 2 and change to go in regulation), the Syracuse crash and burn, etc has been so much better than watching the NBA. Really a pleasure, despite the fact that half of my final four is now eliminated.

I don't see how you can't call carrying on a guy going 100 miles an hour and dribbling the ball up to his shoulder. Downey had been doing that for two possessions in a row. He got called for it the second possession.

That's fairly illogical. You admit the refs never call that stuff, yet they call it vs. WF and that makes them good? 😕 A game and a tourney should have consistency, and not just "start" calling stuff all of a sudden. That's a tad unfair don't you think? Besides, the calls were plain bad, period.

I've got it on TIVO, and he most certainly didn't dribble up to his shoulder. At least admit you are biased because of where you live - so what if I lose part of my bracket, it isn't a rivarly hate, besides a lot of other people had Wake, Syracuse, or Kansas, so I'm still 2nd to 4th in most of my pools. My issue is with claiming that the calls were not bad, when they very clearly were - and it was more than just three calls. Let's not forget how Pittsnogle was basically assraping people inside and the refs were acting blind as mice.
 
It is unfair but there was a lot of those calls that they missed, when a guy dribbles the ball above his head and something isn't called. I don't care if it's the NBA or what, it should be called.
But I thought the officiating was poor on both sides. And I'm from WV so......

Yeah, and Paul doesn't ge this share of "star" calls. I didn't see the whole game, so I can't judge, but I thought the calls were pretty even down the stretch.

You don't just decide to call palms and carries in the 2nd OT of a NCAA tourney game. If your gonna call them, call them consistently across the NCAA. I don't know why these stupid refs decided to use throwback 1970s rules all of a sudden. That call was garbage, plain and simple.
