(Reuters) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) said it removed the fictional country of Wakanda from an online list of nations that have free trade agreements with the United States on Thursday.

you would think it would never get so far as to needing to be removed.

I read the article as well.
It seems it was simple mistake of test data being left over after rolling out to production.
Funny, but harmless.

Trump probably ordered Wakanda removed personally. Not because it's fictional, but because it's run by black people.

Also I wouldn't be surprised if Trump didn't know Wakanda isn't real.
Something is telling me that Trump doesn't watch movies based on The Marvel Universe. I'm really surprise that no one create a Universe derived from Ayn Rand's Obectivism.o_O I'll bet you that Trump would watch movies based from that.

That reminds me of one of my favorite quotes by John Rogers:

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.
