Waiting for the ultimate 3.5 inch smartphone

dunno if there's some thing wrong with me, but i like really really compact pocket computers. I'm using an lg fuel right now and i have a pricier 4.5 inch phone with a better looking gui and i much prefer to use the 3.5 inch lg fuel. easier to carry, just feels better in my pocket. feels better to hold. Don't have to look at a lot screen so I stay focused. Any word of a super 3.5 inch phone?

Question, if I use a virtualization os and i get malware on the virtual pc, does it affect my real pc? may attempt to root using virtualization if that prevents me from having to factory restore to get rid of nagging unremovable programs

4gb rom seems to be working for me tho. I never download apps that I can use in a browser, and i disabled a bunch of apps. Root would just be icing on the cake. plus i recently factory reset the phone and now it's so much smoother

It shouldn't. Most malware doesn't know how to even detect a virtual machine, let alone escape it.

My initial mistake was many of my programs were on my bootable ssd. After factory restore, the programs on my other drive still worked at startup

Depends.... A lot of virtual machines have usb pass thru (aka the virtual machine has exclusive+direct control)

I did brick a windows mobile phone once while upgrading it thru a virtual machine... Back then, I had windows 7 x64 but the upgrade process needed a 32-bit OS... Had a 32bit OS running in virtualbox with usb pass thru enabled, but something bad happened

Should be less risk with root, though some root process depends on timing attacks while might not work with a virtual machine

I like small phones but 3.5" is too small. I just got an iPhone 5s from work and definitely think that is about the minimum size I'd want to use as a main phone.

I would just suck it up and get the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, i know that's bigger than what you're looking for, but it's still very small and the components are high end.

that's like saying you want a super computer on a smartwatch. you cant do anything on a puny screen.
i knew it was only a matter of time before apple ditched the 3.5 size while hardcore apple fan defended 3.5 inch as the perfect size.

while the 3.5 inch screen will work for some people doing basic tasks. but there is no way a 3.5 inch screen works for tasks where you need a bigger screen for games, photos, videos, and maps. this is why apple eventually made a bigger screen sized phone.

Moto G 3rd-gen, I'd say. The BLU Pure XL has better specs, but Motorola's more likely to put in long-term support.

Yeah I miss the curved back on the 3G/3GS. Comfortable to hold & enough room for a decent battery. All of the new ones are stupid skinny (who cares, because you're probably going to put a 1" thick Otterbox on it anyway). Screen too big, battery too small, holding without a case too skinny to get a grip on. Bleh. Please come out with a 0.4"-thick iPhone that has all-day battery life

while i have this thread open, will my current phone be able to multi task if it's rooted? the lg fuel? The one click root is 30 dollars. not sure if it's worth it or just getting a new phone. by multi tasking i mean listen to google play music and play a game at the same time. so?

batteries are constrained by the battery cell... most of them use the same circular 18650 cells, so it's going to be similar

just pick a capacity you want to live with (eg: 10k mAh... with 70% efficiency, you get 7k effective amperage, can charge a 3500mAh phone twice)
