Can you buy only 1 or 2 bottles of a six pack?
Are you stupid OP, is that your problem?
The annoying thing, though, is that they won't sell celery like that. Have to buy the whole bunch, which is ridiculous. For a while, some Harris Teeters would let me grab a few stalks and purchase them by weight (sometimes the bunches are sold by weight, even though they are still displayed in bunches), until they got mad. I don't get this. What is the value for me of buying a bunch of celery if I only need 2-3 stalks to make a sauce or mirpoix, while the rest spoils before I ever eat it? Pisses me off.
I had developed that purchasing habit when in Italy, where everything is sold by weight, and people traditionally do their shopping nearly every day because they always cook fresh, unlike us savages in America.
Some places will let you do that. Effing annoying. You are checking out, then realize you only have 5 bottles in your 6 pack. Of course, this usually happens because of theft, but some shops do price their 6 packs by the bottle.
What is celery these days? Like 13c per pound? Are you stupid OP, is that your problem?

Make sure you wear some kind of mask while doing this. This is common knowledge. I do the same with ribeye steaks. You just walk into the grocery store with a large blade and start furiously cutting the meat. They're totally cool with it.
Why would they want to sell you a stalk when they can force you to buy the whole thing. Better yet, plz buy the prepackaged mirpoix using not-as-fresh ingredients for a mere $3.99.
Hell, when I'm buying gorilla cookies, I grab a couple from a ripe bunch for."immediate" eating, a couple from a less ripe bunch for a couple of days later, and often, a couple from a nearly green bunch for later in the week.
lol, yeah. those are so ridiculous. I did discover recently that the only Safeway that I know around me actually has a separate bin of individual celery stalks that you can purchase by weight. It is awesome. Too bad it isn't terribly convenient to me><
damn, I never thought of that. I just buy the greenest ones I can find, lol. I actually like green bananas. A bit bitter, and they are actually healthier because they haven't yet processed their "good" starches into more sugar, like with the riper ones

Holy hell bahhahahahaWait until the OP learns about ginger root.![]()
I'm pretty sure Ocean State Job Lot works that way.but some shops do price their 6 packs by the bottle.
