Wait for .NET MCSE or go with 2000?

On Microsoft's site, they are saying .NET server editions are shipping pretty soon. I am sure they are delayed. I am wanting to get my MCSE and am wondering if I should wait for the new server version or go ahead with the 2000? I hate to get certified right before a brand new server version comes out!

.NET MCSE? I'm one exam away from my 2000. I know Microsoft isnt going to require 2000 MCSE's to recertify for XP. Is that what you mean?

I am 1 exam away from MCSE 2000 as well. Microsoft has absolutly no intentions on retiring the 2000 certification anytime soon.

Well, I got the fact that it was coming out soon on this page and I was just making sure before I started my 2000 training/tests. I hope you guys are right, cause I'm about to go on it. I appreciate the responses!

I just did a quick scan of the page you linked to. They seem to be implying that .NET refers to the server end of the XP platform. In this case, there is no need to worry. I know for certain that 2000 MCSE's will not be required to upgrade to XP MCSE. The differences between 2000 and XP are minimal IMO.
I've had some experience with the .NET style of server... ISA 2000. All they seem to be doing is centralizing network services and making use of arrays and network load balancing. For example, ISA is a firewall, Proxy, VPN and pseudo Router. Any one of those components would be very familar to you if you are already familiar with it's 2000 equivalent. So, if you know Proxy, you know the Proxy component of ISA... don't sweat it, just stay up on things and you will be fine ; )
