That's good news for those without a PC, 360 or PS3.

.... though why someone would own only a PS4 or X1 is beyond me, so many good games you can't play :)

I only played BL 1 and the entire "this isn't an MMO, but that won't stop us from giving you MMO type quests of 'go kill 15 boars'". Ugh...

Glad I'm not the only one that didn't like Borderlands. I bought both of them dirt cheap during Steam sales but just never got into them. Yeah, I won't be buying them again on consoles. Especially not for the inevitable $70 they'll charge for the disc here in Canada.

I can't pinpoint any one thing I didn't like, but the two that stand out the most are the humor fell flat for me and the weapons seemed boring.

I didn't care for it either. I couldn't really say why I didn't because the artwork was cool and the characters seemed cool, but I just couldn't play the game for very long.

Not really, my interest in PC games has grown very thin, a lot of them are available on console now and usually has better stability than PC versions do. There hasn't been an MMO in quite a few years that has grabbed me, I picked up Guild Wars 2 with the early week access and played 4-5 characters through it in a few months then faded off that. I still play Planetside 2 but only on my i7 system, on the AMD system it stutters a ton, and Planetside 2 is on its way to PS4 with better looking graphics and smoother gameplay.

I'll keep PC so my wife can play Sims 4 when it comes out.

@mmntech, tell me about it, next gen console games costs a fortune here. Last time I spent more than $70 for a game was Return to Castle Wolfenstein when it first came out (after tax it was $99) but was 100% totally worth every penny, that game lasted me for years.

I never played either of them last gen. I said id wait for the price to be dirt cheap and I forgot about them. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on those games.

Either you love them or can't stand them. I was hoping I'd open the thread and see a release date for a new fallout game...

For me, I don't really care for first person shooters all that much to begin with. Just not very good at them. Bioshock Infinite is the only recent one I actually enjoyed.

To me I think the game was trying to be like Fallout 3, but with a less serious tone. Though it lacks a lot of what made Fallout 3 and New Vegas great. The RPG elements felt tacked on to me. I don't want to grind in a game like this. The world of Pandora also feels pretty empty. There's no NPCs to talk to, trading is very limited, very little quest variation. Pacing feels off as well. The game plays out very slowly, but not in a good way. There's little incentive to explore like there was in Fallout. No cool stuff to find. It would have been better as a straight, linear shooter.

Also any game with save checkpoints loses a few points in my book. Especially when they're so spread out. Bioshock Infinite included. Borderlands not only takes your money when you die, but makes you trudge back to the boss. Ugh.

What I did like was the art style. I'm a fan of cell shaded games. The humour was okay, and I did like the music. Though they aren't enough to really save the experience. Probably wouldn't have bought them if the weren't like $10 each during one of Steam's crazy sales.

That explains not caring about PCs, but not owning any one of a PC, 360, or PS3 is madness. Madness I tell you! Like I said, so many good games, 99% of which are not on the PS4 and X1 since they both lack backwards compatibility. (No, PS4's streaming beta at crazy high prices doesn't count.)

Mad hate for an awesome series. The game is pretty much a Diablo like fps. Kill things, get loot, kill things quicker. I had a blast with both of them while playing with buddies. I remember when I used to go home for lunch, fire up the game, a buddy would be on to power level me

I really enjoyed the first one, but lost interest in the second one. I'm not sure what point that happened, but I did find myself struggling to care about the main game. I finished the main storyline and I think one of the DLCs. I tried to get into the Tiny Quest one but honestly thought it was pretty stupid.

I loved BL1 and BL2 (even more, also all the DLC), but just no... what's the point? Gearbox after Duke Nukem Forever and Aliens Colonial Marines has less than stellar community opinion. This would only be seen as a money grab, nothing else...

Both games really started in the 2nd play through. The first play is just a taste. Just like how D3 is... except that was 4 play through + everything added on in 2.0

Man, I never beat terramorpheous. We tried so many times to.

Everybody said Borderlands 1 was awesome, I played it, didn't like it.
Everybody said Borderlands 2 was awesome, I said I didn't care for B1, they said 'no, but this one is really awesome, for realz!', I played it, didn't like it.

So Borderlands 3 can be the best thing ever in the history of everything... not interested.

Lately, Borderlands has seemed to be the new "in" franchise to trash. BioShock Infinite it happen a couple of months ago. People left-and-right seem determined to drag down the opinion on the game, IDK why. I think it's a series that needs to be played in a co-op setting, but it's definitely a series I can enjoy.
