the readme said the g4mx series isn't supported...and then i thought about it and thought "Shoot....i thought they meant they didn't TEST it on it...not that it won't work"

so did i just make a stupid move? Does this actually mean i have to upgrade to a gefroce3 or better? (sorry ATI, but unless you get some linuz drivers me no care 4 u)

damn and to think i spent $$ on it because i loved the other two...

No, you don't have to have a DX8 card....you *HAVE* to have a DX9.

The GF4 MX series is DirectX 7 but all of the cards in that readme are at least DirectX 8.

It's quite possible that the game does indeed require a mimum of DirectX 8 compliance so you'll have to upgrade.

I never said the G4mx series wasn't DX 7, I'm fully aware of that ;) The only reason i upgraded from my g2gts-v was because I needed a card w/ good tv out and the seller had promised me this had perfect tv-out

but I always thought unsupported meant "untested" ;)

ah well~~~ time to stick it back in the box and 2 years down the line when i get some weird urge for a new videocard i may pickup an old 9800pro for 50ish and use that ^^
