So apperantly Yonah is not 64 bit enabled? If this is true, I have a few questions.

1. Are the next generation of cores going to be 64 bit enabled, or is Intel just putting 64-bit on hold?

2. Apple is using the Yonahs to run their OSX. I was under the impression that OSX was 64-bit on the Power cores, is it 32 bit now?

Yonah does not have 64bit.

Merom should have it, but won't be out until summer time at the earliest.

I think (I'm not sure) OSX was 32bit when it came out and had been gradually adding 64bit functionality. Right now it's back at 32bit only but nothing stops apple from going 64bits once Merom launches. Drivers would be the only issue but I'd hardly consider it an issue since Apple controls the hardware that goes into these systems.

What's been said on this thread is right, respecting the Yonah and Merom. The first generation Merom has the same pin configuration and is EM64T. It will also have a 4MB cache. I understand it also uses the 945 chipset.
