Wahl Rechargeable Electric Shavers Clearance @ Target B&M

Target seems to be clearing out two different models of the Wahl Rechargeable Electric Razor. My local Target in Pasadena had a Sh*tload of them. There are two kinds. One in a blue package includes 3 head foils (close, sensitive skin, extremely close) and sells for $9.94 (originally $39.99). The other one in a red package is basically identical but does not include the 2 extra head foils and sells for $7.94 (originally $29.99 I believe). You shouldn't have any trouble finding them, since they are the only two Wahl razors Target sells (at least in my area). Everything else from Wahl at Target seems to be Beard Clippers.

The box states "As Heard on ESPN Radio" and is also endorced by Radio Talkshow Personality Paul Harvey. I bought three of the $9.94 ones since hell, it's cheaper than buying a whole new razor when the blade becomes dull or the foil breaks.

I have already tried it out and I was quite surprised. Coming from a Braun, it's pretty damn good. And the motor is very strong in it, even for a rechargeable!

"Good day."

<< probably low end type of shavers not as good as the norelcos >>

True but a good Norelco will set you back at least $60 if not more.

Yeah I saw the cordless Wahl at target for $9.94. It's big and bulky.

They also had a Remington MicroScreen2 TCT (MS2-100) for the same price. It's corded. I guess I'll have to try it out tomorrow.

I also picked up the wheel covers for $5.44. They are 5 spoke chrome-color.

Unfortunately I didn't see any trimmers on clearance. Of course not really being the beard type, I wasn't really focusing on those. 🙂

Also, the Remington MicroScreen2 TCT (MS2-100) seems to be long gone from my local Target's. I can't even find any evidence of them being sold there. 🙁

There is a Wahl trimmer on clearance too. To me it looked more like some sort of trimmer and kit, maybe one of those hair trimming kits but I didn't look that closely.

Ive heard Wahl makes some good shavers from a friend of a friend who works there in IL,although ive never used one.The thing with shavers/trimmers is there are usually several models in a line, one may be good, the lower ones may not. I bought a Oster beard trimmer a week ago just to try it as it was on closeout and its done pretty well so far... time will tell.I heard they make good products. The best ive ever used out of remington, norelco and braun was braun hands down no contest...

How much was that Wahl trimmer?

hm..i bought the $7.50 one. when i opened it, the shaver had a strong charge?!

these things probably have been sitting on the shelf for months. how long does a charge in a recharable battery last?!

or did i buy a returned one?

JoeFoster, if I remember correctly the orig price was 29.99 so the clearance price would be around 7.44.

These come blister packed and are very hard to open. You need to cut them with scissors or a knife in most cases (unless you are *really* strong) to get the package open. So if it didn't appear taped, I'd say the chances are very slim that you got a used one. The places where the package is sealed looks like it was melted (at least it does on the two of mine that are still unopened).

I know the motors on these are very powerful, so it's probably got some charge and once you turned it on you were shocked by the pure power of Wahl! 😉

I own an expensive Norelco, and even with the Norelco using brand new replacement blades, the Wahl electric razor I have gives me a MUCH closer shave. They may cost less, but they work better IMHO.
