Yes, that is the where the Egyptian newspaper reprinted the cartoons from the Danish newspaper that started the outrage, just like I said.

Either your playing dumb, or you're simply trying to mislead people (which I wouldn't be surprised), so here's a quote for you from the linked blog entry:
Freedom For Egyptians reminded me why the cartoons looked so familiar to me: they were actually printed in the Egyptian Newspaper Al Fagr back in October 2005. I repeat, October 2005, during Ramadan, for all the egyptian muslim population to see, and not a single squeak of outrage was present.

All the cartoon B.S. started at the end of January, so it was obviously incited / staged.
If you'd stop being an accusatory jackass for a moment you might come to terms with the fact that the cartoon issue started a when a Danish paper published them in September 2005, about one month before Al Fagr reprinted some of the cartoons in their piece condemning them, just like I said.

Perhaps it's time you stopped playing dumb, since the riots started at the end of January.
If people need at least 4 months to "get offended", then perhaps there is a bigger problem.
Hmm... perhaps someone told them they should feel offended?

Perhaps if you read the Wiki entry I linked you would see that people were offended back in September when the cartoons were first published in the Danish newspaper. And yes people rioted in January when they were told that those cartoons were still getting published, but the fact remains that the Danish paper published them first and the Egyptian paper simply reprinted them in an article condemning them.

Heh...

I did look at the link, but I already knew that the Danish first published the cartoons (duh).
I'm no longer sure what you were trying to prove, but fact is that the cartoons were created as a result of the muslim-violence (or call it what you will), and subsequently there was more violence. Same thing happened with the pope, so don't try to spin it.

Seems like muslims in the Middle East and East Asia are very eager to prove the West's opinion of Islam.
There is a need for a whole lot more mocking to make these people more humble.

It is your attitude that makes Muslims angry.

Address my post at all?

And for a funny point- "al Fagr" is actually "al fajr" but that funny eypgtion accent turns the "j" sound into a "guh" sound :D

We Westerners should try the mocking thing out on schoolkids first as a little experiment. Single out the trenchcoats etc. and constantly mock them through school classes, tv, internet.
Since we are so advanced it should only take about 5 years to totally wipe out school shootings

;)

Picking on them?

So making observations and voicing an opinion is now considered as picking on muslims?

You remark is an example of what Bassam Tibi talked about: the accusation of racism as a weapon.
