WA State HD'ers - Frys opening confirmed!

Saw the Fry's building while driving down 405 just north of the S-Curves near Boeing. Could not confirm opening date. I emailed Fry's (off their website) back on the 16th asking the date and got the following response, and I quote:

30 days???

That was it. Keep an eye out in the paper for ads with a possible Grand Opening date. Looks like we soon will also be able to partake in those sweet combo deals! :D

I've always wanted to know what a Fry's looked like. Just drove by there, should look closer next time.

Frankly, I wouldn't hype Fry's too much up. They have some nice deals but they aren't the electronics store to end all electronics stores. BTW, without their lax return policy, those MB/CPU combo deals would be pretty cold.

'Lax return policy'? Well.. if you consider standing in a line for 30 min to return a USB hub, yeah, thats pretty lax. or the other long lines, or the cheeky sales reps. Go thee, but be advised you are pretty much cruising the aisles on your own. At least that is from my exp. in the Fremont and SD Fry's [Fries?]

Some of these guys seem to have a sort of idealistic notion of what Fries is all about. Reality lurks, just on the other side of the grand opening. Lax return policies, does that mean you have to fly to the Los Angeles airport to get anything done? Sounds about right. Whatever you do don't buy one of their extended warranties, getting one of those redeemed is like going to a Kafka-Dali party in hell. Never again.



IMHO, YMMV, all that jazz.

Someone posted on these forums a couple of weeks ago about Fry's pulling building permits near Atlanta .
