Well, he'd just had the shit beaten out of him, and had to kill someone he thought was only guilty of driving off with $80 of fuel. Not sure how it works in the US, but our cops don't kill many people here...

I think I'd be pretty upset in the circumstances, clearly not you

So Aussie states don't communicate criminal information with one another?

I see no reason for remorse. If someone puts you in a situation where you have to defend yourself with lethal force, that person deserves whatever they get. If I were the officer, I would be proud that douche is gone forever.

Apparently they did not in any particularly useful fashion at that stage.

I'm not him, and you're not him, and neither of us have been beaten, thought we would be killed, and had to kill someone (I'm making an assumption here, correct me if I'm wrong), so I don't think either of us can say with any kind of authority how we would react.

Does that seem like an unreasonable comment? It's easy to say what you say from the comfort of your computer chair, reality may be somewhat different, and you may find it a little more emotionally draining than your comments would like to suggest.

You are correct that neither of us are him, nor were there. However, I have been in a situation where I had to use lethal force, and what I said reflects my personal feelings. Would I want to be in that situation again, hell no; however, I don't have any remorse.

Edit: Regardless  to that cop. I hope it doesn't cause too much mental/emotional distress for him.

I have cried after beating up a few people that have tried to start crap with me. Call it my human nature/weakness, but no matter how bad ass someone was they never intended to end up fucked up in a corner.

poor cop. it is unfortunate that it was so difficult for him to check the criminal statues of the guy. killing someone, no matter what the reason, is difficult. i sometimes wonder how these people manage.

Thank goodness you're not a cop. Killing isn't something to be taken likely, whether it's in self defense or not. Hope you're enjoying your big manly epenis over there.

You definitely read his post wrong if you thought it was an e-penis++ post. He simply stated that someone who puts someone else in such a compromising situation that lethal force is warranted and necessary deserves whatever they get. I agree.
