W7 autohide taskbar won't unhide when using Chrome

I dunno what gives with this, and I can't find a fix online.

Sometime in the last month, my autohide taskbar (bottom of monitor, Windows 7) will not unhide when I'm using Chrome. It's happened to both my work and home computers. Work is dual-monitor setup, home is single.

Chrome is maximized but not full-screen. Autohide and unhide work perfectly when I use anything else or with no programs open. Can't figure out if its a Windows or Chrome thing. Have found a few things only that hint this is a problem other people experience but I can't find any solutions.

Anyone else dealing with this?

If you make it fill the screen (but not maximized) does the issue still occur? I tried auto-hiding my taskbar and installing the latest version of Chrome. Could not replicate your issue.

Also, have you tried applying auto-hide as turned off, and then turning it back on?
