i think that underage drinking is fine if it's done responsibly. there is nothing wrong with knocking back a few shots or polishing off a case with your friends, presuming you do it responsibly (i.e. you dont drive, etc). however, this one girl i'm talking to, she says that it's bad to drink underage simply because it's illegal. she wont drink until she's 21, simply because it's illegal. thats all. it's not that she thinks you gain maturity, or anything like that. simply because it's illegal. i know, i am on the "illegal" side.. but not drinking simply because of the law? isnt that sorta... i dunno?
 
I don't drink because it sucks. I have yet to find any alcohol that tastes better than mountain dew, so why should i drink something is that is expensive and tastes worse?
 
IMO, it should be 18. if you can be claimed an "adult", and buy houses, go to the army, get loans/credit cards, smoke cigs, etc, why cant you drink?

im with you , i think its fine done responsibly, as do many of the adults i know. weird how everywhere else in teh world its 18- and the US is stuck on 21. lame.

but simply because it's illegal? if it's done responsibly, whats the big deal (even if it may be illegal)?
