W2K Server Optimization Recommendation

I tried search but my keyword might be wrong

In w2k server network properties under Microsoft Network Properties which is Server Service Optimization

Four options are

minimize memory used
balanced
maximize data throughput for file sharing
maximize data throughput for network applications

which would you use for..

Basic File sharing

SQL 2000

Exchange servers

Depends on how many clients will access the server.

I like having 2 Nic cards and using Balanced for less than 50 clients.

That's a lotta eggs in one basket, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I'm going to have to agree with the previous poster and go with balanced depending on how many clients are connecting and how much ram you have in your machine. With SQL and Exchange on the server, you don't want your all your RAM used by one service, and have nothing left for the other. Also, make sure you set your SQL memory usage to a specified number and not dynamically determined.

Acutally I should clearify

File server - Dual 500Mhz 1GB Ram 800 Gig - No upgrade in sight.

Mail Server - Dual 500Mhz 1.5 GB RAM 60 Gig - Soon to be Dual 1.40 2GB RAM 90 GB

SQL - Dual P4 Xeon 2.0 4.0 GB RAM 50 GIG

I have dedicated servers for each service
