W2K & Promise Fastrak 66

Has anyone successfully installed these combo? I have 2 IBM in a striped set & I'm having the hardest time to install this thing...

Only references I found was this:

I'm basically having smae problem as the guy in the above thread. Do the new beta bios & drivers work? I really don't want to give up Raid...

No problems here... When installing, make sure your stripe set is already configured...

Start the install by booting from CD then watch the startup as it will have you press "F6" to install 3rd party HD Controller drivers, then it will prompt you for the Manufacturers disk... All should be just fine then...

Just to double check, you're using the drivers from Promise's web site, right?

Yes... The win2k drivers that are d/l off the site...

us the 130 drivers...work fine for me

if i recall...there is a little something special you have to do to get win2k to recognize the drivers properly...its in the readme or on the site or something...i think on the site.

i think when you specify the drivers during install, it incorrectly recognizes them as Ulta66 instead of FastTrak66.

hmm...let me see if i can find the page..

crap i cant. i remember it was a bi&@h to find.

All you have to do is hit either F5 or F6 right at the beginning of the OS installs.
