w2k dialup networking problem

Here is the problem I'm having in w2k. I setup a dialup connection using
the wizard and if I try and connect directly with this connection it works.
However if I try and connect through IE 5.5 it won't connect and tells me
that I have a configuration problem. Any ideas as to why I can connect
when I explicitly dial but when any program tries to dial it won't work?
 
Do a reinstall (if you can/have IE available).
Then re-run the configuration wizard and see if it works for you,
