W2K boot loader

I've just install W2k on a dual boot with W98se and the boot loader reports both OS. Both OS on one hard drive (75GXP). Another HD (SCSI 18XL) has Win98, which the loader doesn't seem to see. The XL18 is reported in SCSI scan and BIOS installs. Drive is seen in both OS from the GXP. How to get the boot loader to give me the choice of two different w98? Is there a way to set the default OS in the loader?

Were both hard drives connected when Win2K was installed?

You can edit the boot loader menu via the C:\boot.ini file (likely hidden with system and read-only attributes).

it can handle more than one instance...however, u have to extract the MBR from the scsi drive, name it something like bootsect.dos, then add the line 'x:\bootsect.dos="scsi OS"' to the boot.ini file

extracting the boot record requires making a simple text file then debugging it within win98 oeprating system or winnt's...i don't recall the exact text and debug commands, tho they're available on the net...

Boot Magic solved the problem, and can controll the default OS on start up
Now I have a choice of: C..W98se
D..SCSI W98
E..W2K
