Is there an easy way to disable the "administrative" sharing of every single darn drive-letter in my machine in WinXP SP1 (Pro)?
In W2K, they were shared by default, but you could still disable that sharing if you really wanted to. Now, in XP, it basically gives you an error message and tells you to "F off", more or less, because they are shared for "administrative" purposes, whether you like it or not. Kind of ironic, seeing as how I'm the G-D administrator, XP!!! Not you!. Software that doesn't respect the wishes of the user (administrator, in this case), IMHO should not be fit to live. Computers are born to be slaves not masters. At least not until they can develop a conscience. Only then can one ethically debate whether they should be allowed a right to "live".
