W2K and DMA check box.

Where is the box to enable DMA access in W2K, as I do in W98SE? How can I know if it is using DMA or PIO mode 4?

It's not a check box....it's a drop down.

Go to System Properties (right click on My Computer and select Properties) and then go to the Device Manager in the hardware tab.

Double click on Primary and Secondary IDE Channels under IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers. Go to the Advanced settings tab and change Transfer Mode to DMA if available.
