I heard that W2K is not compatible with ATA100 controller which resides on most
today motherboards. Is there any work around it? I plan to update my OS from
Windows 98 SE to W2K Professional version. Thank you in advance.

Which MOBO? I know ABIT KT7A has a patch (or two) for it.

I plan to install W2K on the Asus CUSL2 board. I installed on the Intel VC820 and it's been working fine since it's an ATA-66 controller. I did
the upgrade on the Asus CUSL2 couple weeks ago and received a message that i will need the update driver for the controller so I quit out of the installation. Thanks.

The built in ATA100 Promise controllers on both my mobo's run great on both of my 2kPro/2kAS systems. You will have to supply the drivers on a floppy duing setup though
