Howdy Folks, just joined up with the team....I found it kind of weird to install a completely different version of seti as I have been running the one from the website for quite a long time....Anyways, a few questions....

How can I set it so it runs all the time? or is that on by default?

I have a 2.4ghz processor, so would making the cache processes at 44 be alright?

How do I get one of those sigs to display my seti stats, etc....

I'll post more as soon as I run into any other problems...

Anyways great to be apart of the team.

CLI....What exactly is boinc?
Also my computer just completely froze up when I put the seticlient on high priority..I'll remind myself never to do that again....

Also for the sig, I want to make it so it updates the stats in an image format or something similar to that...

Hey reddem0n! 😀

Welcome to the AT Dc forum and to TeAm SETI! All you wnat to know about setting up SETI can be found here Plz ask if you still have questions!

Happy crunching! 😀

Welcome, glad to see you're doing seti classic!

Leave it at low priority, then it will use up all cycles when you are not doing anything else.

Also, a non-cpu intensive screen saver is good, I just leave mine to go blank in 10 minutes.

Another thing, watch out for power settings - check to make sure you don't turn off HDD etc - leave the cpu & HDD to "Always On" by selsecting "Never" on "Turn Off HDD" and "System Standby".
Monitor can be turned off without any negative impact on your stats of course... 😉
(display, who needs a display to run seti???)

You can't post your own images on this forum. I believe those images you are talking about, though, come from http://seti.familie-friedrich.de/user.php. I think the only way to get it set up is to lesen ein bischen Deutch. You could maybe put a link to the image in your sig if you want.
