YAY!
Three smacks in the head for mike!
Not only did mandrake not recognize my network card, I had no idea how to make it work, so I decided to boot into windows and download the newest version of Redhat, since I was hearing that it was prety good and not as bloated as mandrake!
In addition to that, I also made the mistake of not choosing custom install. BIG MISTAKE. Now grub(the bootloader) doesn't have an option for windows so I can't get to my windows partion.
I tried formatting the partition that mandrake was on and installing 2k, didn't work, grub was still there, I tried installing an older version of redhat (7.0, I think) and making an option to boot into windows, still didn't work. So I'm thinking that I'm going to need to do a clean format :|
I'm not typing this up from linux, let alone Konkorer, I am typing this up from and XP laptop.
Oh well, that is what you get for choosing the standard install, as opposed to taking the time to actualy configure your system. I think once I get my 2K partition working again, I'm gonna download the newest ISO of redhat and try again.
