w00t these z560s are great!

w00t these z560s are great! too bad im not alloud to turn them up 🙁 my mom is pshyco with volumes i havent turned em up past 1/4 🙁 but i like em. Im no audiophile so these sound great and i cant tell teh diff between these and the klispch i heard a few days ago... yay!

Yeah, the z560's are nice speakers for the money. I'm a cheap mofo and I couldn't justify dropping the money on Klipsch speakers so I got the z560's instead. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised with their perfomace (of course I was coming from some cheap old speakers so I was bound to be impressed with whatever I purchased🙂).

Mine had, one of the tabs that holds the speaker wire in the amp, break off. So I just have the wire taped in, I don't feel like boxing it up and sending it off for something stupid like that.

The sound and bass are awesome thou.

You haven't heard anything yet until you hook these z560s up correctly!

Firstly, you probably have them hooked right, but need to tweak it. Just add a DJ amp and a pair of 15" RF (nice and cheap) speakers in a roomy enclosed box. 😀

Now, it's not just your mom, but your neighbors from down the block. 😀

mine have lasted quite a while now, more than 3 months. Don't let him shiit on your parade, or whatever that quote is 😛

'Rain on your parade'? 😀

some peepz just have better luck than others 😀 mine have lasted me more than 6 months now 🙂 actually 7, since i bought them for myself last christmas 😀

I loved my Z-560's at first. I thought it was just awesome to have computer speakers that could go so loud. But after this effect wore off, i began to find faults. As i posted in another thread about these speakers, the sub is just horrible. The mid bass is way too prnounced and boomy where as the deep bass is almost non existant. I have the bass turned all the way down and the sub is still too powerful. I can barely listen to these speakers now due to the fact that i get a headache within 10 minutes no matter what i am listening to.

Let's see if you're still saying that in three months 🙂

I got mine in the early part of January. I use them HARD every day. I've never shut off the sub. They are still going strong. I love em.

You know, when I demoed them in Best Buy, I had the same concern. I had the bass turned all the way down but it was just too much. I decided to get them anyway and have not regretted it one bit. I read online (somewhere, maybe here) that this was an issue in earlier sets but had been fixed. My guess wa that the demo set at BB was the older. Mine sound incredible and nowhere near overpowering when the sub is toned down.

amish

i dont know about you... but im about to drop the hammer and dispense some indiscriminate justice! 😀

I have had mine for about eight months now, and they're still going strong.

If the bass is too high, why not adjust the bass level in your sound card's control program? I dropped my bass (SB Live 5.1 X-Gamer) level, and it's a bit better now.

It's not that i do not like bass, becaus i do, i just do not like boomy mid bass with no deep bass to support it. And if i turn the bass down in the sound card control panel, the satelites lose the fullness and start to sound like crap.

i got a set of those sitting in my kitchen. i picked em up for a friend of mine, i was going to hook them up to see how they sound, but i like my klipsch 4.1s good enough 😉

Then thats your problem.. you should be able to sufficiently tweak your speakers and keep all fullness of them. I know I can.

Mine sound amazing, but much much much different than they did as STOCK.

Hey, about this 'boomy' bass on the z-560s:

I've owned these for about 6 months and this is my only gripe about them. Yeah, I can run winamp eq and fix it - sorta. Does anybody know if opening up the sub and stuffing it with polyfill or similair stuff would ease this boomy bass a bit? (say that 5 times fast!).?
