w00t, just passed 35 on my MCAT practice test

Mo0o

Took one today w/ princeton review and got a 36, surpassed my goal of 35, now aiming for 40. Went to a nice bbq afterwards, tons of meat, good . Cheers

What's a perfect score on this? What's considered good? (I dunno anything about the MCAT)

Either way, congrats on meeting your goal!

30+ is competitive, 35+ is higher than the average or is the average among the top 10 med schools. 40+ is very very very good. Much harder than the SATs, atleast im my opinion.

I would hope to god that the MCAT is harder than the SAT...

Whoa, kikass, OP!
:cookie: for you cause thats no easy feat for mere mortals.
I must be the dumass of ATOT b/c I only got a 31.
I hope things are equally good for you on test day too.

damn very nice. I must have very dumb friends since they only got like high 20s. My bro didn't even have to take the MCAT's, and he's @ Northwestern med school (he did some 7 yr undergrad/med school program). His friends all easily hit the mid 30's - high 30s range.

but man I must commend you for your dedication. an 8 hour exam, and to even hit anything above 30 = good stuff.

 Very nice, and good luck to you, sust (31 ain't bad grrr lol), and the rest of those applying to med school

The SAT is a joke compared to the MCAT, mostly because the MCAT is like 8hours long...

how accurate are these practice tests?

my buddy is also preping for the mcat in 2 weeks and apparently got a 41 on one of the old retired tests.

personally i think he's smart enough, so a 41 is entirely possible, but still...that's pretty damn high.

Depends on the practice test. Kaplan tests are notorious for overestimating actual scores, although some people say it's deliberately done to build confidence before the actual test. I routinely scored 38-39 on my practice MCATs and ended up with a 34S.
