Total with tax and shipping = $396.99

Good lord, waited up till 2:00am to order the fone. Stayed on the line for awhile, then got hung up on. Went to sleep, woke up, called Nextel. 10 minutes later I'm rocking a new contract and ordered a new fone. Hopefully the i730 is worth the 400 bucks I'm paying for it.

Oh well, good stuff. Anyone else into fones ordered one? 😀

You DO know it'll be $150 after rebates at Amazon within a month, right?

<-- Can't understand WHY people pay $400 for a cell phone. Is still rocking his two-year-old LG TM-510 phone that he got for $99.

BAHHAHA I ordered mines before you hehehe.

Phone price: $299.99
Processing fee for existing customers: $35.00
Shipping: $12.50
Tax: $30.00 (I don't know how they came up with this)

The price was $299.99 if I renewed my contract for two years. Since I just renewed it for two years a month ago all I did was add on one month to my contract. My contract starts today, 10/20/03, and will end up 10/20/05.

whats a I730???

i thought you were talking about a BMW and were just stupid and got the nume and letters wrong. but i was wrong

IMO the only thing more costly than keeping up with computer technology is cellphones. They seem to deppreciate much faster and there are also new models coming out so quickly.

With most phone companies, yes. With Nextel, no.

that's why you get the phone from Costco...

my Samsung A620/VGA1000, $249.99, I can return it anytime I want for a new A620 or whatever new phone sprint has. The benefits of costco membership... weeee

I thought it was about that old intel AGP video card that was supposed to kick nvidia's butt. 😉

Is this really that much better then the i95cl? I should add I know little about Nextel so enlighten me. I know that my current phone cost me $400 but it was special in that it was the first phone officially available in the U.S. with a built in camera (sanyo 5300).

I thought the same thing at first. Then I realized that someone who could afford a bmw probably wouldn't put "w00t!" in their thread title.

It's like when the fastest processor is out, or the fastest video card, you just have to get it, that's all.

I know the phone is a lot skinnier than the i95. The color resolution is like 65k compared to 25k? I don't recall. I am sure you can find more info by going to nextel.com.

if I bought a 730i, I'd know it's a 730i and not a i730

I know the i95cl only had 256 colors I believe so the 65k is definitely a big improvement.
