I know the card was expensive but I wanted to use the camera ASAP and a 16mb card wouldn't cut it. 😀

But it is a Sandisk 24x write speed card (whatever that means). 😛

I saw Dell deals, but they didn't have the 4500, only the 4300.

I didn't get very far doing that. I got to auto mode and how to get to macro mode, but no tweeking it. 0_o...

Oh well, got the camera for 320 and then added on the warranty and the cf card. 😀

Still worth it for 500 bucks...
 
For some reason, the Sandisk packaging resembles a condom box.

As for the Nikon CoolPix 4500, people w/ BVG were getting it for a shade over $100 net after BVG PM + $200 MIR a few months ago. I no longer had BVG, and missed out. 🙁 Perhaps the best bang/buck quality digital camera deal ever.

I was pretty happy w/ the Olympus C-4000 deal at OMax in February but decided to sell it on eBay because it uses SM instead of CF. The C-4000 was probably the best digital camera in that price range at the time (few months ago).
 
Congrats on the purchase. Definitely not hotdeal fodder, but, hey, some of us have to keep retail in business. 😀

Only thing I paid retail for is the CF card. The camera alone was only 320. 🙂
