Awesome! Let me know if you ever come across any extras. ;) I've been wanting one for a while now, but don't want to pay hundreds of dollars for one.

We've got plenty of those kinda keyboards kicking around the office. They're not IBMs, but they're clicky and nice to use.

There were several knockoffs of it, but IIRC, they weren't quite as good as the original... though I can't remember exactly why. I'm thinking that there was something up with the weight of it... and maybe something else.

I've been using this model for years. Simply the best keyboard ever made. The one I'm typing on now was manufactured in 1988. Hey, it's almost as old as my Volvo!

yep,gave one of these to each member of my immediate family last year for christmas. Went to a Business liquidation and bought 25 IBM clicky keyboards in one lot for $20

There are 36 of them for sale on ebay right now for less than $30. Many of them have a buy it now option of $23-29.

I don't get it...I've used these. They were nice enough...but whats so special about them?

I use a IBM keyboard with a consolidated layout now, because it fits better on my slide out keyboard tray at home.

I have an old IBM 84 key keyboard. It comes with a cord long enough to swing from like tarzan and it's built to survive a nuclear attack by being able to use it to smack the nukes back to the offending country and survive.

I'm picking up a sep 1994 (so it's the 'built by Lexmark for IBM' model) in absolutely mint condition, pretty much identical but it has drainage channels to save it if you pour a drink on it :D Given my mates, and my own ability to do this i thought it a reasonable precaution ;)

I have a few of these still. My everyday PC I still use it. They were tossing a bunch of them at work during a move, and not being too proud, I pre-dumpster dove and took them home. I've given a few away to friends/family/etc but I think I have 2-3 left.

We have some goodwill and salvation army stores around here, there's one called 'Faith Farm' and I was there donating some stuff (a while back) they had a ton of 'em for $1-2 each.

I've got a bunch of those back at my other shop. Some AT and PS2. We've got one guy who will use nothing but that. They're heavy SOB's too.

CLICK CLACK CLIACK CLACK....that sounds gets old after awhile.
