??w Pelter for 1.333 tbird? HELP

Hi,
I need some help, i read but i dont reallly under stand about one thing. What is the proper pelter w i should use for my 1.333 tbird (wanting to oc to 1.5 atleast). Im planning on making a water cooled pelter system but i dont know which pelter to get. 80w? 120w? 156w?

Depends on the the power supply you are going to power it with. Most peltiers are rated at 15V (which means they can transfer 80W of heat at 15V) but at 12V they only transfer 64W. Your T-bird is going to be putting off 86watts at 1.5Ghz @ 1.85vcore. A 120W would probably be your minimum, a 150W would really cool it.

But make sure your power supply can handle the load. The reason I didn't go with a peltier is because I would have to have gotten an exteranl power supply for it and I just got a brand new Enermax 430W!

Yeah it was my assumption you would be using an additional powersupply. I don't believe you want to use the one that powers your system for your peltier.

Yea, i was gonna add another psu somewhere in my mid-atx case hehe
