VZW + Galaxy Nexus or ATT + HTC One X?

Verizon service is better, but I like the One X a lot more than the GN. Tough choice.

Yeah, I'm having trouble choosing. I played with the HTC One X at the ATT store last night. It seems like a really nice phone. I like the Galaxy, but it seems a bit dated already compared to the HTC one.

Some other Pros and Cons:

-ATT only provides 3 gigs of data, compared to VZWs 4 gigs.
-ATT doesn't have LTE coverage in my area yet (but has HSPA+), VZW does
-ATT is slightly more expensive.

AT&T is always going to have a better selection of phones than Verizon because it is GSM.

For example, AT&T has the following Verizon doesn't have:
1) HTC One X
2) Samsung Galaxy Note
3) All good Windows Phones
4) 100% open GSM Galaxy Nexus (no blocking of Google Wallet)
5) Samsung Galaxy S II

and the possibility to import phones from Rogers/Telus which may have a different selection but still being 100% compatibile with AT&T's LTE network.

The only advantage Verizon has is Motorola phones, but the Droid RAZR is 6 months old and STILL doesn't have ICS.

Google Wallet works fine on the VZW Galaxy Nexus, it has since launch. It just doesn't come preinstalled. No such thing as a good Windows Phone yet imo.(For the record I love the OS, there just is not a phone with hardware I like) The HTC Rezound > every single ATT phone except the One X and the Droid Razr Maxx is in a class of its own that no other device imo can touch yet. The battery life of that phone outdoes every checkbox feature(newer socs, higher res screens, nfc, blah blah) other phones have over it.

If you're in a VZW LTE area, then I would definitely go that route. However, just know that your phone selection is fairly limited. With AT&T you pretty much have a buffet with all of the GSM devices available.

What about T-Mobile? The only thing that has me tied to VZW is unlimited data, otherwise I would jump on the GSM bandwagon for the better phone selection.

Tmo has great customer service and speeds. The only thing I didn't like about them was their coverage area. Alot of the times I would be without service. But I'm in MS, it may be different for you big city people 😀

I have the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon and am generally happy. The Nexus device was wrought with problems in reception and screen problems, but I think they are getting ironed out. I had to go through 3 devices to get one that worked well. There are tons of folks out there with Nexus issues. It is not that it is a bad phone, in fact, I think it is one of the best out there but it had a troubled start...
Also, Verizon is one of the only carriers to not allow unlimited mobile to mobile regardless of carrier. They only allow unlimited Verizon mobile to Verizon mobile with a 10 number-per-account list of those you wish to be unlimited. Otherwise, their phone and mobile data networks are top notch.

Interesting. So the issues you were having were hardware related? I heard there was an update released recently. I'm curious if that fixed any of the general issues.
