it is the single most girly car VW makes... and VW is a company that is solely devoted to the production of chick cars. so that ought to tell you something. even arnold couldn't pull off driving an EOS and retain his manhood.

that said, the roof is pretty neato-swifto from a geek point of view. so i guess if all you want is a convertible hardtop, you don't care about the driving experience, and you don't care what people think of you, it might be a decent choice.

not to mention the price. Pretty much what you are paying for is a Jetta with a topless option at a 10000 premium.

Nothing is more feminie than a convertible VW.

Sebring, Miata & Pontiac G6 all have hard top convertibles available. G6 is the manliest of the bunch!

If you fear a car will make you lose your masculinity, you have bigger issues.

Drive what you like. That's what a REAL man does. He doesn't go around worrying about what other people think.

Considering how much fun a miata is to actually drive (and at mostly-legal speeds, too!) there must not be a lot of manly-men out there.:D

Half or more of the Miatas I see are driven by men.

I've only known one male miata driver (and half a dozen or so female ones), and he was a fresh asian immigrant, immune-through-ignorance to the jdugement of others.

Half the girls I know who actually know how to drive a manual have owned or do own a miata.

Must be some more secure men where you are.;)

Personally, I would buy one, but it doesn't really work well as a pickup truck, which I need, as much as I hate them.

To the poster that recommended an S2000: If you can live with a true sports car being your DD (2 seater, low, rough [sporty] suspension, no glove box, small trunk, weak stereo, etc.), then the S2000 is a great choice. I test drove one and loved it, but I needed something with a back seat. I heard somewhere that it's basically a Miata for men, which is true. 150HP compared to 240, more torque, more masculine curves, etc.

Yeha I like those ones, I even liked the older, boxier ones, but the one you have was the best-looking IMO.

I'm sorry, but I think that car looks like crap. There are many better cars that you could buy for that money.

The Eos is a neat car, but it is a chick-mobile. For 9G's more you could get into the new TT soft-top, which is also a good lookin' car, albeit much more expensive.

The 97-05 Passat wasn't chick, neither is/was/ever-will-be the GTI
