Vuarnet Sunglasses $9.97-19.97 +S&H

I like some of the frame designs and the prices seem good, but I've never heard of Vuarnet brand. Anybody have experience/reccomendations on these?
 
Here we go again. I picked up two pair the last time this deal was around and have been very happy with them. Wish this would have been a couple of weeks ago, I could have picked up some cheap x-mas gifts.

From what I remember, Vuarnet was a popular brand in the mid to late 80's. I have had quite a few pairs since then and have never liked any glasses better.

Even if you don't like the Vuarnet, there appears to be quite a few choices on sale there.

20 years ago, you were the coolest guy on the beach with a set of Vuarnet's. Very respected brand that could set you back a couple hundred bucks back then.

I payed 130 for my oaklys :/ However, I'm impressed that I have had them for over 3 years and not lost them!

great glasses, have used them for years unlike the current trend of polycarbonate lenses that scratch easily Vaurnets are known for their high quality glass lenses. i too took advantage of this last go around and may buy another pair at these prices.
 
There's some sweet Bolles and Nikons there too.... 🙂

I paid $80 for my first (and only) pair of Vuarnets in the mid eighties. A week after buying them I dropped them on the seat of my Camaro and sat on 'em. Swore I'd never buy another pair of expensive shades. LoL. Now I've got 2 pair of Bans ($130 each) and a pair of Oakleys ($150).

Groan.
 
I'm in for two pair with shipping $39.89. I too have managed to hang on to an expensive pair of Raybans for over two years....amazing! "So that's my rationalization for buying more, dear...";😱

Ah there's an 80's memory - Vuarnet glacier glasses and my 350 cubic INCH, four barrel carb Camaro. I'm sure I paid for most of the Saudi Royal Family's Vuarnets with all of the gasoline I burned in that rocket. 😎
 
These are a great deal...although this is not a new deal. Campmor has had those same glasses at the same price for months. In fact, they had a lot more styles, particularly at the lower prices. What's on the website now is just what's left, at the exact same prices as when they started to clear them out.

I can't be sure, but it seems Vuarnet may have closed up shop in the US, which would explain this deal.

I bought a lot of pairs when this started. Very fine sunglasses at ridiculously cheap prices.

Campmor.com is probably one of the best websites that I've ever ordered from. It was easy to brose, everything was straight forward and they had some damn good prices on top of all that. I jumped on 2 pairs of glasses and 3 Nalgene bottles w/ only 8 bucks shipping, I didn't think it was too bad, especially since I ordered the big 64 oz bottles

I got in on this deal last time it happened...it's a great deal. Although I had never heard of Vuarnet, I ordered a pair, and they're VERY well built. Excellent deal for anyone who needs a new pair of sunglasses that'll actually last.

The store happens to be 15mn from me and my fiance' used to go there all the time.

Wow...fast delivery! Got my two pairs today. Although it's tough to buy a product like this without seeing them or trying them on, you can't beat the price. These things are built TOUGH. Quality materials and workmanship. Definitely worth it, and Campmor IS a great site!😀
 
B-) I too got into this deal last time... I remember my 'nets' purnounced like nays and baby nays in the '80s. As noted before you were stylin and one of the cool people if you had a pair Vuarnets. I bought a pair of Cat Eye 4002 and another Px2000 #2055.

If anyone is undecided, get them. They have great quality feel and awesome optics. Bery good on the boat, skiing or playing in the snow.
 
I got it last time and I am very happy with it. Good quality frame and the lens. It definitely worth the price. I may order another pair.
 
IN the last 15 years I have found two pairs of sunglasses on the highway that I kept one was Vuarnet's and the other Raybans.. I want to say thanks to those poor souls who obviously "by where i found them" had them on top of the car as they got back on the freeway.. haha.
Vuarnet's.. very nice.. I'm tempted.. maybe i'll do.
 
Picked up the Vuarnet PX3000 #3061 based on the testimonials of the quality of these sunglasses. Of course, if i look ugly when i get them, its all your fault :-D
 
Got 2 pair the last time. They still have the style but diffferent color (No. 85060). I definately recommend these since they have heavy metal frames, glass lenses (yet to scratch) in a great case which is way better than fakes you usually get for this price. Campmor service is good too. One recommendation made from the old thread is to pick lens colors carefully. My brown lenses are bright sunshine only and the black ones are lighter shade. Gray looks like a light shade.
