It isnt that hard to get in (they accepted me after all), but have a lot of weed out classes that are pretty tough your first couple years. Other than that it's a nice place to be, nice campus, hot girls (that'll ignore you unless you're a frat retard). Pretty much like any other campus down in VA.

I am not ready for that yet though. I got the brainpower, but don't have the mentality for that yet.

Hell, a basic circuits class (6 weeks only though) is beating the sh!t out of me because it is so damn fast

<---good at math, but not much else...yet.

Gots my orientation date down, July 21-22, CAN'T WAIT, GONNA BE SO TIGHT. My question to you guys is how hard freshman year was for you and how much tie did you have?

Also, for the computing requirement, would you go with a gpu like a Quadro or FireGL or something like a radeon? Will i be using CAD and such that often?

Thanks, can't wait till this fall.

I'm just guessing but I think that the Quadro and FireGL are overkill for the projects that my engineering friends have done on their PC. Most have a couple year old laptops that are more than enough to run the programs they use. I'd get a nice laptop with a good accident warranty in case you drop it, like a Dell XPS. You'll be set for school work and also any games for the next few years.
