Just curious what you guys have it set to. Using the 5.22 dets with a GTS. My refresh is 100, so it dosen't appear the latest games could go over 100 fps on my system. 1024x768 in 32 bit. It defaults to "On by default".
Leave it on. I think most people turn it off in able to gain some performance increase but if you aren't having any problems, I wouldnt worry about it.
I've got it on. It looks absolutely horrible to have it off when a gun that emits light (as muzzle flash) is being fired for example, and I really can't stand the screen tearing.
I have it off for ogl and d3d. Looks great with no tearing. It depends on how high a refresh rate your monitor has. I run my games at 1024x768 with a refresh of 100. To tear for me, I would have to go over 100fps during gameplay, not likely.
