Gotta love Leadtek....those cooling solutions always work well and don't cost too much either. I always get a very good OC on their cards.

Leadtek is teh roxor of nV OEMs, especially since Gainward pulled out of the US.

I'm thinking about getting this card (that has to be the best cooler ever :)) if it falls below $500 when the 512MB ones come out, but the stock memory speed is a bit lower than several competing models for some reason. Don't know how that would affect overclocks in comparison to the evga and xfx cards.

Ah, that's why I haven't seen any cards from them. I was going to buy a Gainward 5900 Ultra a while back, but opted for the MSI 5900 Ultra.(Link) The MSI also had a bitchin' cooler on it too. It was pretty sweet.

Additionally, Leadtek cards have nice cooling on them too. I was going to buy a Leadtek 6800 256 MB card when they had a deal on Newegg a few months back. I looked at 11:00 at night and by 10:30 in the morning when I was ready to order, they were out of stock. I was like OMGWTF?

OMG ROLLO, YOU FOUND A VENDOR FOR THIS CARD!! BEEN LOOKING EVERYWHERE FOR THIS CARD OMG OMG OMG :D

Then, as I sit back and think for a moment... I wonder if there will be a winfast 7800GTX Extreme 512MB version... Meh, good find Rollo, I'm so happy T_T I went as far as emailing leadtek but they haven't replied yet =(

Someone on OCForums managed to OC this card to 590/1370. Very nice card :D

Hmmm my card is a Leadtek GTX and it doesn't OC worth crap. Max I can hit is 490/1320 without artifacts and this card is water cooled. The extreme versions must definitely be cherry picked cores.

Mine is at 450 / 1250 with a new BIOS :)

Max I could do on that BIOS has been 495 / 1360. As soon as the Core hits 496 I start to see artifacts, and the Memory was stable at 1360, but that's way too much of an over-clock for my tastes, so I let it go at 450 / 1250.

Very nice.

At least one vendor has these, for $509.99, which seems like a very good deal to me!

There's a thread over at H where the poster has links to three other reviews; the average OC is 533MHz on the core!

How much you want to bet he posted this thread because the X18 XT hit the 1ghz barrier ?

LOL
You'd lose that bet, I posted it because I read a thread about it on H this morning and thought it was worth posting here. Obviously some are glad to see this card hit retail?

I could really care less what Sampson and Mooxie do with liquid nitrogen, although their results did have me bouncing the idea of blowing $800 on a phase change off my wife, who didn't seem to think it was a good idea.

Really nice cooler, looks the same as the Quadro 4500 cooler.
As for the overclackability, I got my ASUS 7800 GTX for $480, and I've hit 510/1370 stock cooling. Waiting for my NV silencer. I would like to see some comparisons of the cooler on this card to the NV silencer 5 Rev. 3.

Does Leadtek use the +40MHz geometry delta like the EVGA, BFG, and other manufacturers use? If they do, than that's a killer score, but if not than at least the geometry clock is about on par with some of the other vendors. Leadtek must have gotten some sweet cores because most of the guys I've seen using watercooling top out at ~520MHz on the core (although that is without the +40 delta being added in).
