VPU Recovery

I get VPU recovery error or BSOD for ati drivers everytime i try to play either ut2k4 or painkiller, i don't even try other games. The only time this hapens is when i get my HTT over 278, i can run 290 prime stable but i am not sure if Radeon 8500 is up to this. Could i tweak settings in bios to be able to run at htt290?

Keep your HTT below 278. Having it higher is obviously causing stability problems related to the video card even though you say it's Prime stable at 290.

I don't think high HTT really gives you all that much performance anyways so why even bother.
