VPU recovery error

I dont use that computer much but i do driver updates on it every once in a while. I asked my sister how often she gets this messege and she said just about everytime she uses it. Been trying to fix for sometime now with no luck. Please help. I listed the specs for the pc below. Any help is appreciated.

ASUS M2R32 MVP Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Black Edition
2GB Gskill DDR2 800
HIS ICEQ Turbo 3850
Rosewill Stallion Series RD500 2SB 500W ATX12V v2.2 Power Supply
Windows XP SP3
 
I am also facign similar ATI's VPU recovery problem in my new ATI sapphire 4670 card? I faced in certain games like -Wanted,PES2009,HAWX,the settlers rise of an Empire.; I tried catalyst 9.5 -after removing my nbvidia driver using the safe mode process ( i used driver sweaper from guru3d). then i was able to play the settelers.i tried FEAR2,grid,wanted,hawks and getting the vpu reset in wanted n hawx. then i reinstalled my win xp sp2- but now i am not able to play the settlers - after starting the game within 1-2 mnts screen goes black n got the error
