I used this VPN provider a couple of years ago when I spent almost a month overseas. There use was minimal in terms of what I needed. Now I am looking for something long-term and with unlimited bandwidth, no data caps and no logging.

I am not one to try free trial offerings, but I wondered if anyone has used a VPN service with the above requirements with strong Internet connections (think 25-100 Mbps).

Moved to OT from Networking for the traffic.

I am on my 2nd year using PIA. My internet connection is 50-60Mb/s and I can saturate it while going through the VPN. It is on my laptop (Win10), my htpc(Win7) my wife's laptop(Win7) and on both our Android phones. The client works flawlessly on Win7 & Android but on Win10, at least the last couple Win10 updates, required a reinstall of the client, which took all of 5Min. Actually the very latest Win10 is giving the PIA client headaches, but it is on an old laptop so I am not sure where the problem is. I am sure there is an easy fix, I just need to read up on it but been a bit busy lately. I use it 100% of the time on my laptop, the htpc uses it 100% of the time and my wife uses it probably 75% of the time on her laptop. I have not gamed w/ it though, so I cannot comment in regards to latency. No problems streaming whatsoever, browsing, youtube, etc

A buddy is using ExpressVPN and I will ask him how he likes as he has been on with them for just over a month. Will update this portion when I hear back from him...

The problem with PIA is that this site (Anandtech) bans a lot of PIA IPs.

so you're constantly connecting/disconnecting till u find a good one that hasn't been banned yet :(

Another vote for PIA except for sites like Anandtech - but thats the same across most VPN providers these days.

some vpn providers allow u to blacklist their IPs so it wont select it next time.

this saves time/aggravation if the IP has been banned by the site your going to.
ie: anandtech

but PIA doesn't have that capacity :(

Yes, this just happened to me coming in here this time. But I will say that changing to a different server is a matter of a couple clicks.

A couple days ago I was looking at aljazeera.com, just to see a different point of view than what we see from here in the US. I clicked on a video and got the 'you are not allowed to view this video from your location' youtube screen, so again, just a couple clicks and I am coming out of some place in Europe and see the video no problem.

All VPNs log. Don't fool yourself. There's always a need for a log. That isn't much of an issue if you know what you're doing and who you chose.

I use vpn.ac. Not sure how they compare to others but the price is right and they don't seem to care about bandwith. I'm sure they log but who doesn't? Just pick one and go with it man...they're all the same.

True and I personally experienced this last night. I discovered you can get a higher credit card bonus using a VPN (see links at bottom). After confirming this works, I had forgotten the Chicago VPN was connected, I refreshed the AT forum tab and it showed my IP address was banned.

HAHAHA. I use VPN.AC man. Been using that now for about three years. I would use Tor and create an email at gmx or something, use portable Thunderbird to access the E-mail with the VPN and pay with Bitcoin. You really don't have to go to that extreme though.

If you use VPN.AC, just use port 443 and ECC encryption. It will look like standard SSL.

Can also use Tor over the VPN for added security.

A lot of Tor exit nodes are banned here since they are used by spammers. And if this site still uses the stop forum spam database, chances are you'll be on one of those exit nodes.

Great thing about VPN.AC is that it now has double hop.
