I asked someone if i could use their RTCW cd key (a game) cause i need it for multiplayer...he said no but he knows a way to bypass it...these are the instructions:

Here is what you can do:

1. Setup VPN (If you dont know how search the net)
2. Edit the hosts file in c:%windir%system32driversetchosts (NT/2k/XP) or c:%windirhosts.sam (9x) to include the two following lines:
wolf.idsoftware.com 127.0.0.1
wolfauthorize.idsoftware.com 127.0.0.1

I have a cable modem - can i still do this?
can someone show me how to do this
will this screw up anything?
