I have a VPN to my corporate network, and I use WindowsXP as my operating system, and VPN client.

In Win2k, when logging into your machine, you used to be able to login with a "dialup connection" or a VPN connection that would automatically connect when logging in under a specific user.
I don't see that on my machine and I can't seem to find where it would be.

I've looked through the help files, gpedit.msc, mmc.exe, and a few other places (including as simple as the control panel) but i can't find it. Does it not exist in WinXP or what??

Looking for some help from the always helpful AT community, as i'm at my wits end here :)

(PS: this is a double post from the "networking" forum but i wasn't quite sure where this issue fell under)

Here's what xp has to say about it:

To make a vpn connection:
open network connections,
under network tasks, click create a new connection, and then click next.
click connect to the network at my workplace, and then click next.
click virtual private network connection, click next, and then follow the instructions in the wizard.

Yeah i got that far. Already have a connection setup :) and working.

I would just like XP to AUTO connect to the VPN connection when i login under that user (i created a new user profile).
