okay - first post here. heya..

I am trying to get my VPN server at home to be seen on the internet, but be seperate than my home network.

So when my friends and I connect to my VPN, we can LAN over the internet basically, yet my home network will not be seen by anyone else on the VPN.

I want my VPN to be on a subnetwork I suppose, handing out an ip address range that is different than my router.

So instead of the 192.168.1.x range, I want it to hand out private addresses of 192.168.2.x.

Feel free to ask questions if my post is not clear. thanks!!!

Update: I also would like to set up a proxy service - so that I can securely load web pages through that server, with caching.

yes : I use hamachi at the moment. and that is exactly what I want to do.

I am trying to get this to work without going through a third party application or someone else.

Or maybe I could set up hamachii as a web proxy on the server?
but will this be accessible at work? I wouldnt think so.. right?

Did you create a software VPN server on your PC? Then it will create a virtual IP range for the VPN connection. perhaps your VPN has no routing?
