VPN connection problems...

One of our DSL lines is specifically used for VPN. I have a Netopia R-7100 Series router that is running that connection. It has built in VPN as well, which somewhat works. I can create a VPN connection in Windows, and connect through the router onto our network. The problem is that Windows will only ask for one user name and password which has to be the routers or else I cannot get in to our network. Is there a way that I can prompt the user to enter his/her domain username and password once they are authenticated with the router. Is there a way I can have windows prompt the user to enter his/her user name to authenticate with the domain once the inital VPN connection to the router has taken place? I know I may need a script for this, but is there an easy way to write one or obtain information on writing it?

well we are going to have Windows NT, 9x and 2000 clients connecting to the Router's VPN connection, so pretty much all of the windows OS's
